The Mariawicki Cemetery in Gocław - founded at the beginning of the 20th century, the cemetery of the Mariawite Catholic Church, located in the village of Gocław, in the former Mariavite parish in Gocław. The cemetery is located on a hill near the forest, near the Roman Catholic burial place of the dead. At present in Gocław there is no longer any Mariavite family. The Mariawicka parish in Gocław was founded in 1907. On August 27 of the same year, he was a priest. Bolesław Maria Łukasz Wiechowicz, priest of the parish in Cegłów, made a dedication to the parish church. The parish priest of Gózd, priest of the priests, was in charge of the priesthood in Gocław. Jan Maria Ignacy Modrzejewski. After the split in 1935, most parishioners supported Archbishop Jan Maria Michał Kowalski, since then the church was in the hands of the Catholic Church of the Mariavites. With the establishment of the pastoral branch of the Osieck parish in Gocław and the construction of a Roman Catholic church (1937), the Mariavites lost their importance. From the 90s of the 20th century no services were held in the parish church. Since then, the local Mariavicka church was in very poor condition. In 2008, it was sold to a private buyer and dismantled a year later. Formerly, the cemetery in Mariawicki was fenced with a wooden fence, which was replaced by a net. This work was done on July 13, 2007 by Czesław Jałocha, a resident of Gocław. The cemetery rests min. sisters: Aleksandra Maria Pacencja Abelska and Sr. Pelagia Maria Aniela Orłowska (last parish priest of the Catholic Mariavite Church in Gocław). [source: Wikipedia, 3243466]
