New Jewish cemetery in Biała Podlaska - located at ul. The new one was founded in the 18th century. During World War II, the Germans completely devastated the cemetery. The matzevas were used to build local roads. There is no tombstone on the area of 2.7 hectares. The cemetery has a monument commemorating 12,000. Jews from Biała Podlaska and from Augustów and Suwałki, who died in Nazi extermination camps during World War II. [source: Wikipedia, 569207]
