War Cemetery No. 223 - Brzostek - cemetery from the First World War designed by Gustav Rossmann, in the form of a single mass grave located in the town of Brzostek in the Brzostek commune. One of over 400 Western-Galician war cemeteries built by the Cemetery Graves Division of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow. 47 Austrian soldiers killed in the beginning of May 1915 are buried at the cemetery. The object is located at the entrance to the parish cemetery, by the road and is preserved in good condition. It has the shape of a rectangle with an area of 26 m. On the sides of the grave there are two concrete recesses, the shape of which can be assumed to contain cast-iron plaques with at least a part of the names of the fallen soldiers. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the cemetery 224 and the cemetery 225. [source: Wikipedia, 1678850]
