War Cemetery No. 314 - Bochnia - an Austrian war cemetery from the period of World War I, built by the War Cemetery Department of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow and located in its district IX Bochnia. It occupies a separate, large headquarters of the Municipal Cemetery in Bochnia. His designer was Karl SchĂślich. 399 Austrian soldiers, 6 German soldiers and 12 Russian soldiers were buried in the cemetery. They died or died in nearby field hospitals from October 1914 to May 1918. The cemetery has a rectangular shape and is located on the northern slope of the hill, where the historic Bochnia necropolis is located. The central element, built on the top of the hill, is the monumental wall with a 14-meter cross made of stone blows. Under the cross, in the niche, there is a bas-relief depicting an angel with a sword in hand, guarding the peace of the dead. At the foot of the monument, on both sides, there are four graves of officers with concrete tombstones crowned with Maltese crosses.
