The cemetery was officially founded in 1892, although burials were held from 1890. In 1906, the victims of the Białystok pogrom were buried here (this event is commemorated by the monument). The last burial took place in 1969. On the area of 13 ha surrounded by a brick wall, about 5-6 thousand of them have been preserved. tombstones, the oldest of which dates back to 1876.
