Orthodox cemetery in Terespol - a necropolis for the burials of Orthodox people, administered by the parish of Saint. John Theologian in Terespol. The new Orthodox cemetery - the first necropolis of this denomination, then the Uniate, functioned at the church of Saint. John the Theologian - was founded in Terespol in the first half of Nineteenth century is located in the eastern part of the city. There are several dozen historic tombstones from the last years of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century . There is also a wooden chapel of the Resurrection at the cemetery . On September 17, 1939, in the area of the necropolis, the Wehrmacht military police carried out crimes against Polish officers and soldiers in the number of about 60 people. The murdered were buried in a collective grave. This place commemorates monuments of a tomb, separate in honor of soldiers, a separate dedicated to officers. In the cemetery there are tombstones of priests associated with Terespol - priest. Mikołaja Poleszczuk (1921-1975, raised in Terespol, then he served mainly in the diocese of Wrocław and Szczecin) and priest Arkadiusz Nikolski, parish priest in Terespol and Kobylany, a spiritual Orthodox priest, and then a Neounicki priest.
