History and description
The cemetery was founded in 1919 together with the erection of the local Catholic parish D. Kawałko, Cemeteries ..., p.28 . The necropolis is still open . At the beginning of the 1990s, there were several stone tombstones from before 1945. First of all, Latin crosses on rectangular pedestals and pedestals with extensions, decorated with multistage cornices, acroterions, triangular tympana and floral ornaments. . In the necropolis there is also a bezstylowa chapel from 1942. . The whole cemetery is surrounded by a metal net in the rear part, with metal spans by the stone pillars from the front and a wooden fence in the central part . Stand out: folk relief on the grave of Fr. Paweł Zięby from 1981 presenting the angel calling the priest for the Last Judgment , military quarters housing the graves of 127 soldiers of the Polish Army from the 6th and 23th Upper Silesian Infantry Division of the "Krakow" Army, killed on September 14-17, 1939. Among them is Maj. Władysław Nowożeniuk, who was posthumously awarded the Golden Cross of the Virtuti Militari Order. . [source: Wikipedia, 3750193]
