Description of the cemetery
It is located in the northern part of the city of Biecz, at ul. 100-lecia, on the Nęckowka hill . These were three single graves of the Austro-Hungarian soldiers from the First World War, a Jewish denomination known by their names. They were buried in the former Jewish cemetery, which, however, was destroyed by the Nazis during World War II . Buried: * Moritz Berkowicz * Meir Birn * Emil Lustig Today it is difficult to determine the original location of the graves. The concrete matzevot on their graves were probably identical to those in Grybów and Gorlice In the place of the Jewish cemetery there is now a monument to the memory of the murdered Jews. The cemetery is surrounded by a modern brick-steel fence with a grid. In the field of the cemetery, parallel rows of trees. [source: Wikipedia, 2395277]
