War Cemetery No. 168 - Kowalowa - cemetery from World War I, designed by Heinrich Scholz, located in the village of Kowalowa in the TarnĂłw poviat, in the municipality of Ryglice. One of over 400 Western-Galician war cemeteries built by the Cemetery Graves Division of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow. It belongs to the 6th Cemetery TarnĂłw. The cemetery is located on the road from Kowalowa to Lubcza. The cemetery has a polygonal shape with an area of 366 m. Fenced with concrete pillars connected by wooden spans. The central monument is a concrete, high Latin cross on a square pedestal. On the graves on concrete plinths, Latin and Lorraine iron letter crosses. Name plates enamelled. There are 143 soldiers buried in the cemetery in six graves and 75 individuals killed in December 13-19, 1914 and May 3-4, 1915: * 84 Austrians, among others from the 12th Austro-Hungarian Infantry Regiment, 17th Austro-Hungarian Infantry Regiment, * 59 Russian soldiers.
