Description
The necropolis was designed by Anton MĂźller on a rectangular plan with sides of approx. 90 mx 84 m. The cemetery was opened in 1915. The cemetery has a fence made of steel pipes supported on stony posts. The entrance to the cemetery leads through a small two-winged metal gate set in a fragment of a stone wall. Behind the gate stretches a tree-lined main alley. The central monument is located at the end of the main avenue. It has the form of a massive, stepped base, above which a Latin concrete cross prevails. No inscription was placed on the monument. The tombstones are in the form of concrete stelae topped with cast iron or steel Lorraine and Latin crosses. Some convex, enamelled tin signs with name inscriptions were fixed on the steles. In the cemetery there are also a few gravestones in the form of low rectangles covered with a hipped roof. Tablets with the names of the fallen were placed on them. [source: Wikipedia, 2445057]
