War Cemetery No. 269 - Niwka - cemetery from World War I, designed by Robert Motka, located in the village of Niwka in the Tarnów district, in the Radłów commune. One of over 400 Western-Galician war cemeteries built by the Cemetery Graves Division of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow. The cemetery is located in the center of the village next to the school, on the right side of the provincial road No. 975 Wojnicz-Żabno. It has the shape of a rectangle with an area of about 1942 m. It is surrounded by a fence with 4 sides. In the front part of the road in the form of a concrete balustrade with places filled with a net. In the central part of the fence there is a very interesting entrance gate (see photo). The metal gate is located between poles made of concrete blocks of varying heights topped with concrete balls. the remaining pages of the cemetery are fenced mostly with concrete pillars connected with each other by metal "gas" pipes. The central element of the cemetery is a high obelisk built of concrete blocks with a board with an inscription and bas-relief of the sword above it. The inscription in the free translation reads:
270 soldiers in 14 collective graves and 122 individuals killed in December 1914 and February and May 1915 are buried in the cemetery: * 146 Austro-Hungarian citizens * 77 soldiers of the Russian Empire, among others from 294 Berezyński Regiment of Infantry. * 41 German soldiers, including from the Prussian regiments: 218 ((Preußisches) Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment No. 218), 219, 220 and 222.
