Description of the cemetery
Designed by Robert Motke, the cemetery has a rectangular shape. The current fence is made up of massive stone posts made of concrete elements and iron railings. Entry through two low iron gates set on concrete pillars. The larger concrete post located between the gates is topped with a large concrete cross. The main decorative element is a monumental wall located on the other side of the fence, in which the upper part is mounted a small concrete cross with Christ hanging on it, below is an inscription plate with an inscription in German. This inscription can be translated as follows: From God to the earth, from houses under arms, Through victory and death to God again. Framed by the concrete edges of the path in the cemetery, they are in the form of a cross. Tombstones of soldiers have the form of concrete plinths topped with crosses. There are three types of crosses: * 7 cast-iron, openwork Latin crosses, * 1 cast-iron, openwork Lorraine cross * several smaller Maltese crosses. The cemetery is renovated and is in very good condition. [source: Wikipedia, 3172478]
