War Cemetery No. 33 - Swoszowa - cemetery from World War I, designed by Johann Jagera located in the north-western part of the village of Szerzyny in the Tarnów poviat, in the Szerzyny commune. One of over 400 Western-Galician war cemeteries built by the Cemetery Graves Division of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow. The facility is located by the road to Swoszowa, approx. 400 m south of the border of this village with Szerzynami and in the registry of the imperial and royal Army is listed as 33 Swoszowa. It covers an area of about 706 m, is surrounded on three sides by a stone fence, on the side of a wooden road. At the cemetery, there were originally buried 169 soldiers buried in 9 mass graves and 8 individuals killed in December 1914 and May 1915: * 85 Russians from units: 7 Rewelski Pułk Piechoty, 225 Liweński Pułk Piechoty * 83 Austrians, among others z: 18 LIR, 20 LIR, 33 Infantry Regiment kk Landwehr, 56 IR, 98 IR * 1 Germany On the line of the cemetery's back fence there is a small stone monument on which a characteristic triple cross covered with a roof has been placed. On the pedestal of the cross there is a plaque with an inscription in German: "Jealousy to us, who fell in battle and suffering, Here came the fame of our life and death" (transl.).
