War Cemetery No. 51 - Rotunda - an Austrian cemetery from World War I, located on the top of Mount Rotunda in the Beskid Niski in the town of Regietów. The establishment of the cemetery was designed by Dušan Jurkovič . 42 Austro-Hungarian soldiers and 12 Russian soldiers who died in February and March 1915 were buried there. The object on the plan of the circle is surrounded by a stone wall. Originally, there were 5 tall wooden towers in the cemetery - crosses maintained in the style of Lemko - central with a height of 16 meters and 4 side ones, 12 meters . In May 1979, all the towers were still boarded. In 1980, the cemetery was entered into the register of monuments, but no conservation works were commenced. Fragments of three out of five wooden towers have survived. On the eighty anniversary of the Gorlice Operation (May 1915) in 1995, the clearing and securing of the cemetery was commenced with the help of the Austrian Black Cross. On the initiative of SKPB in Warsaw, the Association of the Social Committee for Reconstruction of the War Cemetery on the Rotunda was established. In 2004, thanks to financial aid from the Austrian Red Cross, 24 new tombstones and plaques with names were made. In 2008, the reconstruction of one of the towers was carried out, and in the following year - the second one. In 2013, foundations were laid for another smaller tower and in autumn 2014 it was completed. In 2016, the last two rebuilt towers were built. On a stone inscription plate with a carved Maltese cross and a quatrain in German, by Hans Hauptmann. In translation, it reads: Do not weep, we are lying so far away from people, And the storms have given us more than once - Every day the sun wakes us up earlier in the morning and covers us with the purple of her glory.
