War Cemetery No. 77 - Ropica Górna - historic cemetery from World War I, designed by Hans Mayr, located in the village of Ropica Górna formerly Ropica Ruska in the commune of Sękowa in the Gorlice poviat in the Lesser Poland voivodship. One of over 400 Western-Galician war cemeteries built by the Cemetery Graves Division of the C. and K. Military Commanders in Krakow. It belongs to District III Gorlice. [source: Wikipedia, 3845407]

Description
The cemetery is located in the village of Ropica Górna on the slope on the north-eastern side of the Sękówka stream, on the evidential plot No. 227. It has the shape of an irregular polygon with a fence area of about 261 m. The cemetery is surrounded by a fence with a full wall of stone blows adjusted to the slope of the area entering from the west side with an iron gate with a landing and stairs. In the northern fence line, an elevated section of the wall with a recess for an inscription plate topped with a small concrete cross. In the southern fence line in the pentagonal wall breakage there used to be a high wooden central cross with a semicircular tin roof. An asymmetrical row graves system with tombstones in the form of cast-iron crosses on concrete single and double-arm plinths and concrete stel with cast-iron boards. 408 soldiers in 10 individual graves and 39 mass graves were buried in the cemetery Oktawian Duda Cemeteries of the First World War in Western Galicia 1914-1918 - Studies and materials, Center for the Protection of the Historic Landscape, Warsaw 1995, pp. 157.448 : * 215 Austro-Hungarian soldiers from: 18, 21, 28 Infantry Regiment * 31 German soldiers from 13 and 22 Bavarian Infantry Regiment * 162 Russian soldiers from: 195 Infantry Regiment killed in March and May 1915.
