War Cemetery No. 81 - Męcina Mała - cemetery from World War I designed by Hans Mayr, located in the village of Męcina Wielka, in the Lesser Poland voivodship, in the Gorlice poviat, in the Sękowa commune. Description
The cemetery is located by the road, on a high escarpment, in Męcin Wielki, right next to the border with Męciną Mała. It is preserved and maintained in good condition. It covers an area of about 163 m. The cemetery is surrounded by a stone wall. On its premises there is a stone monument in the shape of a cross Oktawian Duda Cemeteries of the First World War in Western Galicia 1914-1918 - Studies and materials, Center for the Protection of the Historic Landscape, Warsaw 1995, ss.160,161 . At the cemetery, 45 soldiers were buried in 9 individual graves and 8 mass graves : * 17 German soldiers, including from 58 Infantry Regiment (3 Poznański), 3rd Bavarian Infantry Regiment Prince of Bavaria Charles * 28 Russian soldiers who died on May 2 and 3, 1915.
