Description
The military quarters are located in the south-eastern corner of the parish cemetery in Jaśliska. During the fighting in 1914-1915, the fallen soldiers were buried next to the church in Jaśliska. The Russians buried their soldiers in the vicinity of the church in Daliowa. In 1917, at the initiative of the Austrian authorities, these burials were assembled on a separate parish in the parish cemetery. In the following years, the cemetery was almost completely destroyed. It was not until 2001 that a small monument was erected with the following inscription: In the following years, the object was surrounded by a metal and stone fence, with the shape of a tapered quadrangle, covering an area of 970 m. As the main architectural accent of the cemetery, located in its central part, a tall stone cross on a concrete plinth. On the plaque there is an inscription: At the cemetery, 525 Russian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers were buried in 77 collective graves and 188 individual, who died in 1914 and in May 1915. The cemetery is the object of the Eastern Front World War Trail in the Podkarpackie Province. [source: Wikipedia, 4049778]
