Location
The cemetery is located within the urban unit of Rynkowo, in the northern part of Bydgoszcz, on the streets: Ludwikowo and Rynkowska. From the east (behind Rynkowska St.), the parish cemetery of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is adjacent to it. [source: Wikipedia, 1976916]
History
The necropolis was founded in 1927. Kuczma Rajmund: A small encyclopedia of Bydgoszcz - part of the slogan "C". [in:] Bydgoski Calendar 1993 From 1934 it was a military cemetery. The cemetery has dimensions: 80 × 130 m and area: 1.1 ha.

The Soldier's Room of the Polish Army from 1945

It is located in the southwestern part of the cemetery - along ul. Ludwikowo. The boundaries of the quarters are determined by a hedge. 171 soldiers of the First Polish Army are buried here, killed in battles for the liberation of Bydgoszcz and the area from the German occupation on January 24-30, 1945, and those who died from wounds in hospitals. There is also a grave of 97 Polish soldiers, partially unknown, who died in 1945, exhumed from the forest of Smukała . On the graves are individual tombstone terrazzo tiles on which are placed metal crosses and inscription plates with personal data of a fallen soldier. In 1995, a commemorative plaque was placed .
