History

The cemetery was a churchyard cemetery with a chapel of the village of Ujeścisko. Church of St. Jerzy was burnt in 1945. Currently, the former cemetery functions as a small park, where only remains of the old stand, traces of ancient avenues, devastated fragments of tombstones and foundations of the crypt are left. There are no more records with the names of people buried here; Two of the oldest preserved stone tablets from the first half of the nineteenth century in the beginning of The 21st century were transported to the city's lapidarium. At the cemetery, inter alia, Polish soldiers died during the battles for Gdańsk in 1807. Among them, Lt. Col.
