Cemetery in Biedrusko - an unused cemetery located in Biedrusko near Poznań (on the south-eastern edge of the village). The cemetery buried mainly soldiers participating in the First World War and the interwar period - Biedrusko from the Prussian times was a garrison settlement, inhabited almost exclusively by the army. It was used until the end of World War II, then it fell into oblivion and was not preserved. In March 2010 there were 24 recognizable graves in the necropolis, mostly in bad or very bad condition. Both natural conditions, neglect and theft by cemetery thieves contributed to the destruction. From one of the graves of the tanker, for example, a unique piece of caterpillar from a Renault FT-17 tank was stolen. Some of the inscriptions are legible, eg, gefr. Richard Heider, died in the First World War. At the cemetery there is also a headquarters of nameless graves - here is one grave with an Orthodox cross. One of the graves conceals the bodies of three soldiers who died during maneuvers on August 14, 1924. At that time, eight people were killed during the exercises forcing the nearby Warta River (300 m). The maneuvers were followed by foreign observers and the event was echoed in the press. The cemetery was studied by prof. Wiesław Marian Olszewski from the Institute of History of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. [source: Wikipedia, 1937920]
