History and description
The cemetery was established at the beginning of the 19th century as a continuation of the cemetery at the parish church D. Kawałko, Cemeteries ..., pp. 100-101. . The oldest tombstone preserved in its area dates back to 1855. The last time the cemetery area was enlarged in the 1960s . The cemetery is still in use. At the beginning of the 1990s, around 80 stone and concrete tombstones from before 1945 survived in the necropolis: horizontal plates on flat and catahedral bases, statues of Our Lady and Christ carrying cross, obelisks, broken columns and tree trunks. They are decorated with multistage cornices, with triangular and semicircular poles, tympances, acroterions, panel pilasterkami on corners, floral ornaments and cords . At the gate there is a burial chapel from 1950 . There are collective graves: unknown number of soldiers killed during World War I, 31 Polish soldiers killed during the battle of Komarow in 1920, 36 soldiers, including 19 unknown, killed during the September campaign in 1939, graves accompanied by folk sculpture presenting a Polish soldier, a commemorative plaque dedicated to 42 residents of Komarowa murdered at Majdanek . There are 12 poplars, 10 clones, 4 ashes, 3 spruces and 2 robins, as well as lime, elm, larch, oak, and thuja bushes growing in the cemetery. . [source: Wikipedia, 3701648]
