History
The cemetery is located in the north-western part of the Department for the Blind in Laski, in a pine forest on the edge of the Kampinos Forest. The cemetery was established in the 1920s together with the Blind Workshop and rested here only for the merits of the Society for the Care of the Blind, his friends, employees and in equal rows of the Franciscan sister Służebnica Krzyża, taking care of the plant. There are also representatives of the Catholic circles of the Warsaw intelligentsia, from the pre-war times associated with pastoral and spiritual backgrounds with the Franciscan Friars and Sisters. This cemetery is not large and is located somewhat off the beaten track, and the graves on it are very modest, especially monastic. In the middle of the cemetery there are the graves of the founders of the Department - it is buried here. Elżbieta Róża Czacka, priest Antoni Józef Marylski, priest Władysław Korniłowicz (symbolic grave, body after exhumation in the church of St. Martin in Warsaw) and others. Next, there are graves of meritorious people not only for the Department, but for Polish literature, science and culture, such as Antoni Słonimski, Halina Mikołajska, Marian Brandys, Stanisław Stomma, Jan Lechoń. There are also graves of politicians, scholars and architects here. [source: Wikipedia, 743213]
