The cemetery is located in the Polesie district, on the small estate Mania, located in the immediate vicinity of the Park na Zdrowiu and its natural extension - so-called. Mani-forest, which is a remnant of the forest, formerly covered by the area of today's Łódź. [source: Wikipedia, 1599676]
History
The cemetery was founded in 1914 as a response to the urgent demand of the inhabitants of Łódź for the cemetery in this area of the city. Soon afterwards, in the interwar period, other well-known cemeteries in Lodz were founded: Saint. Wojciech on Kurczakach, Retkini, św. Rocha on Radogoszcz and Saint. Franciszka at ul. Rzgowskiej.
